Meet Our 2021 Campers!
Violin, Counselor, Social Media Manager
Meiqi Liang is currently finishing her freshman year studying Public Health and Epidemiology at the University of Washington. She looks forward to meeting our players and returning as a camp counselor and our very own social media manager, so be sure to follow Olympic Strings Workshop on Instagram!
Lauren Waldron is at WWU working toward her BM in Viola Performance degree. When she is not practicing, she can be found cooking for her friends or enjoying the sights of Bellingham, WA. Lauren has been a part of our summer camp from the very beginning and is dedicated to creating great musical experiences for future campers.
Evan Cobb is a cellist and aspiring orchestra teacher in his second year at WWU in pursuit of a BA in music education. Having fun while playing is his number one priority. Evan enjoys the balance the Olympic String Workshop strikes between a rigorous music intensive experience and a traditional, fun summer camp.
Marley Cochran is a Port Angeles-raised violinist now finishing her third year at Pacific Lutheran University studying both Sociology and Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
Karson Nicpon is a freshmen at University of Washington Seattle studying engineering.
Tino Cardenes is a Pittsburgh-based pianist and composer who enjoys producing his own music videos. At camp, he especially enjoys playing music outdoors.
Adam Weller is finishing his junior year in high school and looking forward to applying to colleges and music schools. He hopes to get a dual degree in Neuroscience and violin performance. He is looking forward to playing music with friends and getting the opportunity to work with small ensembles at camp this summer.
Olivia Carrol is entering her senior year at Port Angeles High School and is also enrolled at Peninsula College through Running Start. Olivia spends a lot of time outside hiking, biking, gardening, and hanging out with her pets. She also plays bass and acoustic guitar in addition to violin. Olivia wants to pursue environmental and civil engineering in college. She's looking forward to playing with new people and friends at camp and working on her skills as a violinist.
Luke Gavin is super excited to be at camp in person this year! In addition to playing viola he enjoys playing piano, ice skating, cross country running, and competing in FBLA and NJROTC conferences and competitions.
Reef Gelder is a 16 year old violist, athlete, and student from Port Angeles, Washington. He enjoys being in the great outdoors, surrounding himself with music and orchestra, and meeting new people. Reef looks forward to building new music relationships at camp this year and furthering his knowledge of orchestra.
Violet Knobel is grateful for the opportunity at Olympic Strings Workshop to learn from and with incredible musicians. This fall they will be in eighth grade at Steven's Middle School in Port Angeles. They are very passionate about classical ballet and music. They study ballet at The Ballet Workshop, and viola with Phil Morgan-Ellis. Violet is excited to improve in both viola and ballet this summer!
Maïté Sadeh is an incoming freshman at Cornell University pursuing a BA in computer science. Besides playing music, Maïté also enjoys skiing, baking, taking her dog out on walks, and hanging out with friends. She is looking forward to meeting and playing with new people, as well as participating in the activities and projects planned for camp.

Olivia Wray is very excited to be a part of the Olympic strings Camp this summer! Olivia is going into senior year of high school and will be finishing up an associate's degree for college. She is excited to meet new players and spend some time with people who love music just as much as she does!
