What You Need to Know

Camp 2021 is in person!

August 1 - 6, 2021

Plan A: Day camp in Port Angeles (current)

Plan A+: Overnight camp at NatureBridge (if open)

Parents are welcome to attend free public performances on:

Thursday, April 5: Outdoor performance at Olympic National Park

Friday, April 6: Performance in Port Angeles at church or outdoors (exact location will be updated)

What are the dates of the program?

When is the application deadline?

All applications must be received by June 1. 

We will accept the first 20 qualified students, with priority given to Port Angeles area residents.

How much does this program cost?

Tuition: $1300  Activity Fee: $35  Room & Board (if at NatureBridge): $425  

Full tuition scholarships of $1300 will be awarded to ALL Port Angeles students accepted into the program.

Students living outside Port Angeles will be considered for awards on an individual basis.  


Payment Schedule:

$35 activity fee due upon acceptance.

If NatureBridge opens:

$100 non-refundable Room & Board deposit due June 15
Remaining balance due July 15

Nobody will be turned away due to lack of funds. If the above fees should cause a hardship for any family, financial assistance is available. Please contact Chuck Whitney.

Who can apply?

This program is for advanced string players, ages 13-18.  Priority is given to musicians living in the Port Angeles area.

Do I need to audition?

Yes. All candidates must submit an audition video containing a 3-octaves scale or etude AND two contrasting pieces.  

To ensure that everyone is fully prepared, all campers must be record and upload their camp repertoire by July 15 to secure final acceptance and scholarships for camp.
